Rumors are swirling that Samsung has already asked Samsung Display to develop an ultra-compact microdisplay for a second-generation pair of AI glasses. A commercial launch is apparently being penciled in for late 2027 or early 2028.
That’s a notable shift. The company’s first smart frames, created in partnership with Google, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker, are screenless. They rely on audio and voice, not visuals. The follow-up, however, could put a display right in front of your eyes.
